Happy Friday, everyone!
Once again we’re playing with Chubby Fairies and Happy Giraffes at the A Day For Daisies blog. These images are so much fun!
I printed my little guy onto some mixed media paper and immediately sprinkled on clear embossing powder while the printer ink was still wet. After it cooled, I masked him with some copy paper and stamped the Ink Splashes using Distress inks in various blues.
With the mask still on, I spritzed the piece with some water and let the ink run down the front of the paper. I blasted it with some heat to hurry the drying time along.
When it was dry, I smooshed some inks – Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, and Rusty Hinge– onto my craft sheet and then painted my giraffe using a water brush to pick up the ink. Next I painted his beret and turtleneck using the same method and some Fired Brick ink.
The layout is from the current Seize the Sketch #3:
Isn’t the Little Educated Giraffe adorable?
Thanks for dropping in today. Have a great weekend!
